ENACFIRE E18 Plus Wireless Earbuds 2020 Detailed Review.
ENACFIRE E18 Plus Wireless Earbuds: Trying to push yourself at the gym? The right music can help you run that extra mile. But finding earbuds that can keep up with you? That can be a bit of a chore.
That can be a bit of a chore. Finding a pair that won’t fall apart the first time they get wet isn’t so tough these days. But finding a pair that is more than just a good value can actually require some investigation.
ENACFIRE E18 Plus Wireless Earbuds
Different types of earbuds get made for different types of listeners. Sitting in front of the TV at home? That’s a pretty different type of activity than running along the side of a highway, or trying to drown out the sound of weightlifters slamming down weighs in the background. For an optimal audio experience, you’d want a different sound profile for each scenario.
The ENACFIRE E18 Plus were mostly made with athleticism in mind. That’s not to say they sound bad when you start watching movies.
But by looking closely at their design, it’s pretty clear what these earbuds were specifically made to do. They’re for people who want to stay active, rain or shine.
They’re for people who expect sweat will inevitably end up on their earbuds. And they’re for people who are constantly on the go.
Looks and Build Quality
The Enacfire E18 is lightweight, compact, and build with good quality materials. The casing is sturdy and plastic made with a matte black finish.
You can also get the earbuds in the white color that was recently released into the market. To test the build quality, we dropped the earbuds, and sorry! However, there was no damage. Though we did it at a reasonable height, it is clear this earbud is built to last.
The Enacfire E18 is also pretty light, weighing up at 1.82 oz. Because they are light, you can have them for more extended periods without getting fatigued. Combined with their small nature, you might forget to take them off at some point.
Compatibility, Connectivity, and Bluetooth Performance
The Enacfire E18 is compatible with any Bluetooth device up to Bluetooth 5.0.
Connectivity to the different phones we paired with the earbuds was painless, fast and intuitive. After the first pairing, the earbuds will automatically auto-connect to your phone when you take them out of the charging case.
When connected a woman’s voice says “left channel connected” “right channel connected” on the respective earbuds to signify a successful Bluetooth connection.
Bluetooth 5.0 has bought significant improvements; one of them is the range increase to cover a longer distance without dropping in the signal.
In our testing, with the Enacfire E18, we could move up to about 10 meters before the connection dropped. However, in an outdoor environment, the range of the earbud is significantly reduced, and you will find the earbuds dropping the signal but will reconnect as soon as you move closer again.
Battery Life and Charging case
Like most true wireless earbuds, the Enacfire E18 holds up to 3 hours when fully charged, but this will differ from person to person.
If you are someone who spends more than 4 hours a day on the phone listening to music, then you will find yourself charging these more frequently.
Fortunately, the earbuds come with a portable charging case that holds an additional 15 hours of extra power. The charging case makes the earbuds very practical for traveling – make sure the charging case is charged before traveling.
When you buy this earbud, make sure you peel off the small plastic stickers over the charging connectors for charging to take place.
Comfort and Fit
As I mentioned earlier, the Enacfire E18 is a very light earbud. It is light enough you can barely notice you have them in your ears. This makes the earbud very comfortable to wear for long periods of time without feeling or getting exhausted.
The Enacfire E18 also comes with three pairs of silicone ear tips (small, medium, and large) that can be used to customize your fit. Because of the different ear tips, you can exercise with the Enacfire E18. The earbuds are not waterproof but should be okay for running as long as you are not profusely sweating.
With the audio, the Enacfire E18 does not disappoint, but it is also not perfect like the high-end earbuds I have listened to.
At the price, however, the clarity was excellent with reasonable bass output. Obviously, this will not perform like the Sennheiser HD600 or other high-end headphones.
If you are purchasing these for high-quality sound, then you should probably save your money. On the other hand, Enacfire E18 is a great earbud for watching TV or for casual music listening.
Microphone and Call Quality
Like most earbuds, the Enacfire E18 has an inbuilt microphone. However, the microphone is on the left earbud, unlike most earbuds where the microphone is on the right earbud.
During calls, especially in a busy environment, the microphone will pick up sound around you much better than your voice and make your voice sound quieter on the other end.
This is the case with most earbuds because the microphone is placed far from the mouth. Using these for calls indoor is, however, better and sounded more clear.
The ENACFIRE E18 Plus Wireless Earbuds were made specifically for athleticism. If you’re someone who’s outside running through the rain, or inside sweating at the gym, then the E18 is probably right up your alley. They’re reasonably well designed, reasonably high quality, and do a reasonably good job of sounding as smooth as a CD.
